Jos Tension caused by enemies of state, miscreants -Gov Lalong

In a grand reception to honor the newly elected President of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF), Bishop Moses Panti, in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, the governor of Plateau state, Barr Simon Lalong, said the security threats in Jos, the capital of the state, is a work of some enemies and miscreants who are bent on bringing chaos in order to loot people’s wealth.

He said that his coming to Yola was to build up confidence to the people of Adamawa state and the entire country that Plateau state is calm as the security challenges have been cubed else he wouldn’t have stepped out of Jos.

He asserted that Plateau is a state of Christian values and therefore they must do everything possible to live in peace with one another and live in unity irrespective of people’s tribe or religion.

“Something was about to happen in Plateau but I was able to contend it. There is no trouble in Plateau,” Lalong said.

He called on the body of Christ to pray more for the unity of the country and its entire leadership under President Muhammadu Buhari for God to revive every sector of the country’s economy.

He thanked his Adamawa State counterpart, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla, for transforming the state to an enviable level.

Lalong however called on the LWF President to use his good office in bringing unity in the body of Christ and re-brand the Nigerian name which is bastardized outside the country where they believe that nothing good will come out of it as a result of corruption.
