iREP celebrates Wole Soyinka at 90

The 2024 iREPRESENT International Documentary Film Festival will be held from 21 to 24 March, 2024 at the Freedom Park and Alliance Francaise respectively alongside communities like Ikorodu, Bariga, and Alakoto, Lagos.

With the theme, “Righting The Future”, it comes with a special feature – The Soyinka’s Edition, to focus on Soyinka & His Engagements. On day one, a keynote in this regard will be delivered by Prof Manthia Diawara, writer, filmmaker, cultural theorist, scholar, art historian, and distinguished Professor of Comparative Literature and Film at the New York University.

Reputed for its unique contents, iREP 2024 commemorates our own Professor Oluwole Akinwande Soyinka @90 – “distinguished global cultural icon, poet, playwright, essayist, polemicist and Africa’s first Nobel laureate for literature. We are opportune to be witnesses and partakers of this awesome moment in our annals.
