I’m driven by desire to make people happy, says digital technologist Islimfit
Digital technologist and convener of the famous Lagos Digital Summit (LDS), Adetona Adewale Akeem alias Islimfit has attributed his strides to the innate desire to make an impact on other people’s lives.
“Waking up every day, knowing that a lot of people would have a smile on their faces because I have chosen to impact lives and make the world a better place is the best feeling for me,” he declared.
Speaking further, Islimfit asserted: “This is what informed my decision to join the marketing field as a digital marketing professional, and then convened Lagos Digital Summit and #ProjectHumanityNG.”
He further claimed that his work, which avails him the opportunity to develop eye-catchy email marketing campaigns, intriguing social media promotions and high-converting Google adverts, is more interesting because of the fintech sector in which he works.
According to him: “The fintech space is a rapidly developing sector in Nigeria because of the nation’s youthful population, growing smartphone penetration, and the nation’s regulatory effort to increase financial inclusion. Being a digital marketing professional especially in this sector comes with perks like diverse career paths, fast career growth, thought leadership positioning and entrepreneurship opportunities.”
Looking back at his professional career as a marketing professional, Islimfit avowed that the last few years have allowed him to achieve various accomplishments.
“While leading the marketing team at SystemSpecs, I recorded several accomplishments including outdoor and digital media/SEO advertisement campaigns that increased the company’s brand awareness.
Another recent accomplishment was the digital promotion of the company’s new e-payment platform, Paylink, which resulted in about 25,000 customer sign-ups in the first few months of its launch,” he enumerated.
According to him, his repertoire of high-value competence is an asset that benefits, his associates and employers.
“My experience and competence will come in handy wherever I find myself, in terms of upscaling the digital marketing presence of any organisation,” he asserted.
