Ikpeazu mobilizes Abia Judges

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state Monday handed over four brand new SUV KIA vehicles to the Abia state judiciary for use by the judges to enhance their productivity.
Presenting the vehicles to the state chief judge, Justice Theresa Uzokwe for distribution to the beneficiaries according to seniority, the Governor said that the government was determined to provide the judges with the needed work tools.
‘’We are mindful of the economic situation in the country, yet it is important to provide what it takes for judges to work”.
He described the judiciary as an important and strategic arm of government, adding that despite all odds government will provide what it takes to make judges comfortable to discharge their assignment.
According to him, his administration intends to work out plans in future to provide more vehicles for judges yet to benefit and implored the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the vehicles in their service to the state,
Receiving the keys to the vehicles, the state chief Judge Justice Uzokwe thanked the Governor for the gesture. ‘’This is a welcome present to the Abia judiciary especially this new year and I thank you Mr Governor,’’ she said.
She appealed to the Governor to strive to ensure that the remaining judges yet to get their own vehicles do so soon.
