Igbo Youth Forum condemns attack on IPOB members

The Igbo Youth Forum (IYF) has enjoined Igbo elite, irrespective of their political affiliations and wealth, to give the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and Biafra agitators concrete backing to realise the actualisation of Biafra as a sovereign nation.

The President of IYF, Comrade Kenneth Eme, who made the call at the weekend, condemned what he termed another massacre of the members of IPOB last Friday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital during a rally to celebrate the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States President, Donald Trump.
Emeh said that report available to IYF showed that about eight IPOB members were shot and killed by Nigerian security operatives, while scores were arrested, questioning the rationale for the shooting of unarmed and defenceless group like IPOB members.

The IYF boss asserted that the Nigerian police have no reason whatsoever to disperse the non-violent group who were celebrating the inauguration of their hero, just like the way supporters of European clubs celebrate the victory of their clubs. He blamed President Mohammed Buhari for the shooting and arrest of innocent members of the IPOB members, including a 70 -year old woman, saying that the President gave the order for the shooting of the IPOB members before he left for his medical vacation in London.

Comrade Eme said that the recent massacre of the people of Southern Kaduna by the Fulani should be an eye opener to ndigbo because sooner or later the Hausas in Igbo land will begin to lay claim to their land as they were doing in Southern Kaduna, Plateau State and other parts of the North.

“I call the attention of Igbo leaders, especially traditional rulers, other community leaders and wealthy people who give land to these people to stop forthwith and retrieve the ones they have given before they start laying claim to it.

The Igbo Youth Forum boss emphatically stated that the only solution to Nigeria’s myriad of problems is divide Nigeria for everybody to go his/her separate ways because it is very obvious that Nigeria cannot survive under this arrangement.
Eme said “we all should rally round IPOB. Our elites should have a rethink. Forget your political alignment and wealth and join in this struggle. The cloud is thickening and very soon the rain will fall.”
