Ideye opens up on failed EPL adventure

Leading scorer in the league in Greece Brown Ideye has opened up on his difficult time at the Premier League in England, saying he was not given enough time at West Bromwich Albion.
Nigeria striker Ideye is the leading scorer in Greece with nine goals and has scored 11 goals in all competitions for Olympiacos.
However, he struggled to find his way to goal in England two years ago when he made a big-money move to West Brom.
He only managed seven goals in 31 Premier League appearances before he switched to Olympiacos.
“I have proved it right from the time I was playing in the Nigeria league that I am a goal getter. I have played in Switzerland, England, Ukraine and France. All the clubs I have played for I have scored double digits except in England and it was due to the fact I didn’t have enough playing time,” he explained.
He said despite the rough patch he encountered in England, he never doubted he can score goals.
“I have never doubted my ability in front of goal,” said the former Ocean Boys star.
“Sometimes football could be very funny – the goals will just dry up, you will try to find the back of the net but all your efforts will just prove abortive.
“I am so happy with my form and I have found home here in Greece. The club can count on me for the goals,” he stated.
