I will die for Buhari, says Plateau Gov, Lalong

President Muhammadu Buhari has brought peace, development, and people-oriented programmes, so tell me why I will not die for him, says Governor Simon Lalong. Lalong stated this on Friday in Jos, the Plateau State capital, during the occasion of his campaign flag- off, to herald his journey to be re-elected as governor. Lalong, who was flanked by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, Director General, Buhari Campaign Organisation and Minister of Transport, Rotimi Ameachi, former governor of Benue State, George Akume, former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Pauline Tallen, state chairman of the party and host of other party faithful, also said there is no need for elections in Plateau State as the APC has already won a landslide victory before the polls. On his part, Buhari’s DG campaign, Rotimi Ameachi, appealed to the Plateau electorate not to return the Peoples Democratic Party, as the PDP parades people like former governor, David Jang, who got only 16 against 19 votes during the governors’ forum’s election but declared himself winner. Ameachi also said the killings in Plateau is not because of religion but because of lack of jobs which the APC is working to address if voted back to power. He said a vote for APC to return to power will permanently silence the PDP forever. Also speaking at the event, Adams Oshiomhole, the party’s National Chairman, said if the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is voted to power, he will sell Nigeria as he has stated that the NNPC will be sold when he becomes President. Oshiomhole also called for the arrest of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, to account for the over N16 billion mismanaged to fix electricity power during his time as president. Highlight of the occasion, however, was the defection of Chris Alex Giwa, who was formally received into the APC. Kingsley Chukwuka, Jos
