I don’t have a godfather, Gov. Bindow tells Adamawa people
Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Mohammadu Jibrilla Bindow, on Thursday, told hundreds of burnt Yola Market traders that his living as a governor today was because of their strong support and their mandate.
He reiterated that it was their mandate he rode on to become a governor, a reason that he will not take for granted and must follow their bidding as he was just a messenger on an errand for the state.
Bindow promised them of immediate intervention of building a modern market after a committee he instituted submitted their report on the incidence.
“Either you are a Christian or Muslim, the holy books taught us that all things work together for our good, please I want you to take heart believing that is a test from God.
“I have already instituted a committee to get a comprehensive report that will make the government have a holistic approach to address the issue, even before I return from my journey.
“I will make sure we build a modern market that will fit our modern days” he added.
