Herders In Camouflage Kidnap Teacher With Her Son, 5 Others Along Ishara Road

Barely 8 days after suspected herders in camouflage uniform attacked an incoming vehicle and shot dead a driver while another victim was immediately rushed to an undisclosed health facility for treatment, reports have emerged that a teacher with her son and 5 others have also been kidnapped on January 14th.
The Ogun State Anti-kidnapping squad of the Police Command had earlier combed the forest for kidnapped victims as well as the kidnappers but to no avail.
A primary school teacher with her son along with 5 other persons on the Ishara road in Ogun State to her place of work were ambushed and kidnapped by herders in camouflage uniform.
Herders in camouflage uniforms from a bush-path ordered the teacher with her son and other 5 persons into the forest, it was confirmed.
Meanwhile the identities of some kidnapped persons including the teacher were later uncovered as Mrs.Omodele Ogunyinka, Adebayo Jide, Kunle Abiodun and Bunmi Salako .
However their whereabouts remain unknown to anyone.
It is said that Nigerians on a daily basis are kidnapped along the the stretch of the Ogun State road by herders in camouflage as there are many unresolved kidnap cases with many victims still declared missing till date by relatives.
The anti-kidnapping unit of the Ogun State Command of the Nigerian Police has assured concerned members of the public over their resolve to secure the release of the kidnapped victims adding that it was working in synergy with other security agencies including vigilantes to ensure their release.
Meanwhile, the families of the kidnapped teacher, according to recent findings, are yet to be communicated by their abductors, a family statement added.
