Group Partners Imo Govt. to Evacuate Refuse in the State

The Special Assistant to Imo State Governor on waste management Hon. Emeka Okpokoro on Friday received some delegates and representatives of Imo Environmental Volunteer Service (IEVS).
The group, specifically made of young people of the state origin, has as their aim, to ensure strict compliance to Environmental standard in the state.
They met with Emeka Okpokoro to discuss with him on their readiness and voluntary move to contribute in making sure that waste bins in Imo state are evacuated as promptly as possible.

Addressing the group, Hon. Emeka Okpokoro said, “I have giving you all my support and whatever you need to make sure this great outing will be a successful one. Don’t hesitate to ask anything you need. I am always available to answer you and provide your needs to carry out this voluntary work,” he assured.
Hon. Okpokoro also promised them that he will deploy his team to work with them and he will equally be there present. “This is to ensure that the ‘Go Green stay Green’ policy of his Excellency Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha CON, will receive grassroots enforcement and compliance.
I also promise to bring out in total, some of the equipment and materials that will enable our collective activities to be successful”, Okpokoro emphasized and thanked them for being agents of positive change on environment as well as being passionate about promoting clean and healthy environment.

The leader of the group, Comrade Anthony Nwaogu, said they are happy and moved by the rebuild Imo government, noting that the Governor of Imo state, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, is doing a lot in the state and that it is necessary for Imolites to appreciate and reciprocate the Governor by contributing individually and collectively, in any sector or area.
