Gov. Sule charges corps members on patriotism, hard work

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has charged the 1, 756 corps members posted to the state to take advantage of the state’s natural endowments to initiate programmes and projects that are people -oriented, saying it will help them to become self -reliant.

The governor gave the charge when he made the first official visit to the NYSC National Orientation Camp of Magaji Dan Yamusa, Keffi, to declare close the orientation programme of corps members posted to the state.

Welcoming the corps members to the state, he urged them to be patriotic and creative while contributing their quota to the development of the communities they would be posted to in the interest of the state and national growth.

Gov. Sule added that “I believe in the intellectual capacity of our youths and my administration shall give premium to youth empowerment, considering that my cabinet is composed of majorly youths”

The governor also assured of his commitment to reward hard -working and innovative corps members who introduce a people -oriented programme or project during the service year.

Earlier, the state NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Ramatu Sanda said since the kick -off of orientation programme, the 1, 765 corps members have undertaken various trainings and orientation in entrepreneurial skills.
