Go for victory in Luxembourg, Glo tells Eagles

Nigeria’s biggest corporate supporter of football, Globacom, has enjoined the Super Eagles of Nigeria to ensure victory over the Luxembourg National team in a friendly match today.
The friendly is one of the series of warm-up matches lined up for the Super Eagles preparatory to the forthcoming World Cup qualifying matches.  It will be played at the Josy Barthel Stadium in Luxembourg City at 7pm Nigerian time.
A victory for the Eagles will strengthen the confidence of the Nigerian squad as they prepare for qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Though it is a friendly match, Globacom in a statement released on Monday in Lagos, encouraged the team to play for pride and country.  The company advised the Super Eagles never to take the match lightly.
“The Super Eagles should beat the Luxembourg national team convincingly, even though it is a friendly encounter.  Defeat of their opponent will strengthen the confidence Nigerians have in the national team that they can qualify for the forthcoming World Cup.  It is obvious that Nigerians love the Super Eagles and are hungry to see the team get back to winning ways again,” Globacom stated.
Globacom went on to advise the players and their handlers to use the match to garner useful skills that will help them to bond together as a team ahead of the World Cup qualifying matches.
“We encourage the Super Eagles to also use the opportunity of the friendly match to correct the weaknesses of the team and build the much-needed cohesion that will mould the team into a strong squad for the oncoming Mundial,” Globacom counseled.
