FUTMINNA VC backs Buhari on corruption fight

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, Prof. Musbau Adewumi Akanji, has thrown his weight behind President Muhammadu Buhari on the fight against corruption which has destroyed the economy.

He said, on Wednesday, at the Personality Platform organised by the Niger State Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), in Minna, that anyone who had a normal sense and wants a better Nigeria would support the drive.

According to him, “I am with President Buhari one hundred and twenty percent (120%) in the fight against corruption. It has eaten deep into the system. It is dragging us back and also destroying us.

“I know it is biting hard on some people, but, of course, we have to suffer before we start enjoying. Anyone who has the betterment of Nigeria at heart will support Buhari’s drive.”

He added that FUT had set up an anti-corruption unit that would help to check activities in the school, especially in protecting our students from fraudsters, who are plying and sniffing everywhere.
