FUNAI excel in Varsity debate, public speaking competition

The Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi state has emerged second and fourth at the 2017 Inter-tertiary Institutions Debate and Public Speaking Competition.

Receiving the students in his office yesterday, the Vice Chancellor of FUNAI, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba, praised the gallantry of the students, assuring them of the University’s support in future engagements.

Nwajiuba further charged them and other students of the University to study hard in order to be the best, noting that, as soaring eagles they should soar above their contemporaries in all aspects of life.

The University was represented at the competition organized by the Nigerian Debating Society at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, by Agbafor Joshua, Ibe Timothy (300-level), Okeke God’s great (200-level) and Uche Joseph (200-level), all of the Department of Biology/Microbiology/Biotechnology.
