This three-day event, held from June 23rd to June 27th, 2024, transcended the boundaries of a traditional conference, emerging as a celebration of the decentralized finance (DE-FI) community’s spirit, innovation, and unwavering commitment to social impact.
The event series kicked off with the DE-FI Summer Soccer Tournament, where industry leaders and football fans from across the DE-FI ecosystem showed their athletic abilities on the field.
This friendly competition served as a powerful icebreaker, fostering a sense of camaraderie and strengthening the bonds within the community.
Demonstrating the DE-FI community’s dedication to making a tangible difference, the second day of the event series saw participants get on a heartwarming visit to the Living Foundation Orphanage in Victoria Island, Lagos. Essential supplies were distributed, and meaningful interactions with the children and staff members reinforced the event’s commitment to social impact and giving back to the local community.
The core of DE-FI Summer 2024 was the DE-FI Summer Conference, held on June 26th at the Landmark Centre. Industry luminaries, including Chuta Chimezie, Adesola Oguntimehin, Ukeme Okuku, Frank Edoho, and Symply Tacha, took the stage to deliver insightful talks, workshops, and panel discussions, empowering attendees with a deeper understanding of the ever-evolving DE-FI landscape.
