Foundation organizes football tournament among visually impaired persons in Enugu

A NGO, Bina Foundation for People with Special Needs, on Sunday said that participation in blind football will empower and improve livelihood of visually impaired persons in the country.
Mrs Ifeoma Atuegwu, Founder of the Foundation, told newsmen at the grand finale of the first-ever Female Blind Football Tournament in Nigeria that the game among visually impaired athletes would promote team work.
The final came after that the Foundation’s Disability and Blind Football Academy, Enugu, organized a six weeks free Football Summer Camp for disabled and visually impaired young men and female in Enugu.
The 60-minute duration final, which was played with a `talking ball’, was between Sunshine Ladies’ Blind FC, Enugu State and Diamond Ladies’ Blind FC, Anambra State.
