Foundation honours driver, 1000 others with daily ticket

A non-governmental organisation, Charles Nzechi Foundation, at the weekend, in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, honoured a tricycle (Keke) driver over his humility and diligence.

The foundation also used the occasion to reward three other youths and a music disc jockey at an impromptu music competition the founder organised at a popular relaxation lounge in Umuahia earlier in the month as well as the issuance of multiple Abia State daily ticket of N200.00 each to more than 5000 Keke operators in the state.

Speaking while honouring the tricycle driver, Deacon Emmanuel Maduako, 57, from Umuagu Emede Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government Area of the state, the founder of Charles Nzechi Foundation, Mr. Charles Nzechi, who spoke through the Project Director of the foundation, Mrs. Adaku Omidosu, said the gestures are “part of value orientation” by the foundation.

The foundation, she said, is looking out for those not remembered by the people and who are important in the society, disclosing that the foundation is not politically oriented, but purely a non-governmental organisation.
