Filling fee: Lawyers resume boycott in Osun

Lawyers in Osun State have resumed their boycott over the increment of filing fees in the courts in the state.
The lawyers started the boycott three weeks ago but resumed on Monday after a Federal High Court in the state ordered the state government to revert back to the normal filing fees.
But speaking at the court on Tuesday, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr Adeoye Muhydeen Abiodun, said the boycott has started again.
He explained that the court has failed to comply with the valid order of the Federal High Court granted last week and so the lawyers’ boycott continues.
He said,” We want the State Government to direct all divisional registries to comply with the order of Federal High Court and revert back to the former regime of filing fees through a written circular.
“Until that is done, the boycott continues.”
