FIFA agent backs Siasia

A renowned FIFA agent, Marcelo Houseman, on Tuesday urged Nigerians to rally round the Super Eagles Head Coach, Samson Siasia in order to qualify the country for AFCON 2017.

Houseman who was fielding questions to newsmen in Owerri , said that  having worked with Siasia in the past, that the Super Eagles coach has the capability to bring glory to Nigeria having done that before with the U-20 National team.

He stated that in the past Siasia helped to harness a lot of potentials that are now performing exceedingly well in different parts of the country and added that he was in the country to scout for talented players that would play in Europe, Asia and South America.

He urged the Nigeria Football Federation and other sporting bodies to fully support Siasia by investing in Super Eagles and other cadres of sports.

According to him, Nigerian footballers are strong and talented but they need the financial muscle for NFF to harness their potentials.

“Nigerian players are talented and strong, but the country lacks the facilities and finance to develop sports. Government should come forward and invest more money in sports,” he said.

Houseman, who had played international soccer with the likes of Diego Maradona in the 80s, said that Nigeria has a lot of talents wasting away in sports.
