FG okays retirement of Acting NAFDAC DG

The federal government has approved the immediate retirement of the Acting Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, Mrs Yetunde Oni.

The government directive for Oni’s ‘immediate retirement’ was granted by a Permanent Secretary in the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), R P Ugo.

The directive was contained in a letter dated September 28, 2017 while the development was in response to a letter written to the SGF by Mrs. Oni over the NAFDAC worker’s unrest.

The workers has embarked upon an indefinite strike last week seeking for the immediate removal of Mrs. Oni on the grounds that she was already due for retirement.
