Eno lures investors to A’ Ibom at London business summit

Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor Umo Eno said he has appealed to foreign businessmen to consider the state in their business investment plan.
Speaking at Victor Attah International Airport on Saturday shortly after he arrived from London where he attended London Business Summit , Umo Eno listed tourism, agriculture and mineral resources as fertile sectors in the begging for investment.
Eno who was accompanied by former governor of the state Mr Udom Emmanuel as Keynote Speaker at the summit said he had convinced foreign investors to take AKwa Ibom as destination choice for their investment and leisure.
He said he had articulated the potentials that abound in the state and his ARISE Agenda economic blueprint as well as his readiness to welcome people to invest in the state.
Eno said he had explained at the Summit that all programmes listed in his blueprint are in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, adding that his administration was ready to partner with other governments and private investors within and outside the state to realize his vision.

He said the government of Akwa Ibom State has reached an agreement with the London Borough of Southwark, and Akwa Ibom indigenes in the United Kingdom to have exchanges on both the educational and cultural levels.
“The agreements were reached at separate meetings held by the Governor with the Mayor of the Borough of Southwark, Michael Situ and some indigenes of Akwa Ibom State resident in the United Kingdom.” he said..
