Last month, Noble Learn – School of Tech, led by Founder Ajayi Raphael, hosted Tech The Slum, an impactful event designed to equip youth in underserved communities with essential digital skills and insights.
The event attracted over 200 tech enthusiasts who engaged in workshops, mentorship sessions, and networking opportunities, all aimed at bridging the tech gap and fostering innovation in local communities.
Key Speakers Ajibola Bello led a session themed “My Journey So Far and Lessons Learned,” detailing his personal experiences, challenges, and achievements in the tech industry. His inspiring talk offered guidance for young newcomers on perseverance and growth.
Esther Adeoluwa, one of the panelist discussed about “Lifelong Learning: Upskilling for the Digital Age,” emphasizing continuous learning to remain relevant in a fast-paced tech landscape and urging youth to stay adaptable.
Adepoju Elizabeth also a panelist shared insights on “Growing Your Network as a Tech Newbie,” with practical strategies for networking and leveraging connections to create opportunities in the tech industry.
While Adeniji Taiwo focused on “Getting Started with Digital Artistry,” providing an introduction to digital art as a powerful medium of expression and a career path, encouraging attendees to explore digital tools for creative self-expression.
Tech The Slum also offered participants the opportunity to engage in Neighbor Discussion, Networking, & Startup Pitch sessions. Here, attendees practiced pitching their ideas, gained valuable feedback, and explored potential collaborations with other participants.
Ajayi Raphael remarked, “Tech The Slum was designed not only to teach skills but to inspire hope and ambition. By providing access to quality education and mentorship, we’re helping to level the playing field for young minds eager to enter the digital world.”
