Despite the pain of the postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) initially billed for Saturday, February 16, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rivers State Chapter, Chief Felix Obuah, has enjoined Rivers people to remain steadfast and still file out on Saturday, February 23, to cast their votes for the party.
Chief Obuah advised the people to come out in their numbers to vote for Atiku Abubakar and all PDP candidates, urging them not be deterred by what he described as the empty threats of self disenfranchised, allegedly made by the APC in the State.
According to Chief Obuah, the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, if elected as President, would ensure adequate security of lives and property in Nigeria, create jobs, put food on the table of all Nigerians, promote healthcare, education, infrastructure and other critical sectors of the economy.
“
Atiku Abubakar and the PDP would ensure that the country is restructured,” Obuah said.
The Rivers PDP Chairman assured that Atiku Abubakar would create three million jobs annually.
“Political sectors where most of the jobs would be created include private sector through informal sector, entrepreneurial, school to jobs and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMES) information and communication technology, and special entrepreneurship pathway,” Obuah said.
He also said Atiku would target all categories of youths, including graduates, early school leavers, as well as the massive members and uneducated youths who were currently not in schools for employment, training, create incubation centres, clusters, and industrial commercial hub.
Chief Obuah also appealed to Rivers people to vote for all PDP senatorial and House of Representative candidates.
