El-Rufai warns employers no to reject corps members

Kaduna state Governor, Gov. Nasir El-Rufai has warned employers in the state against rejecting corps members posted to their organizations for the one year national service.

Speaking at the official closing of the orientation course for 2,200, 2018 batch ‘A’ corps members deployed to the state, the governor suggested that instead of rejection, employers should rather help the corps members to settle down as quick as possible to enable them contribute their quota to the development of their fatherland.

El-Rufai who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Alhaji Musa Adamu stressed that rejection of corps members is unacceptable, saying it is against the spirit and noble intentions behind the establishment of NYSC. “

Earlier in his address, the state coordinator of the scheme, Alhaji Dahunsi Mohammed appealed to government to provide additional hostel facilities to accommodate the increasing number of corps members deployed to the state as well as the camp officials.”.
