Ekwunife inspects NDPHC transmission and distribution project in Awka

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has said that the completion and commissioning of the 132/33 KV transmission sub-station in Agu Awka, Anambra State will boost economic activities and speed up industrialisation in the area.

Senator Ekwunife stated this on Thursday when she visited the site of the project with representatives of the company for a first-hand information on the level of work already done.

After a thorough interaction with representatives of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) Limited and the project consultant, the Senator, who was glad that the project was nearing completion, promised to relay what she saw on ground to the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan.

Describing the power project as ‘real and practical’, Ekwunife promised that she will do all she can to ensure that the National Assembly offers the necessary support needed to complete the project as it will improve the power situation in her Senatorial zone.

Chinwuba explained that all things being possible, the project will be commissioned in February, 2020.

The 132/33 KV transmission sub-station Agu Awka, Anambra State is a Federal Government project being executed under the National Integrated Power Project.
