Gunmen kidnap boat operator amid gunfire in Bayelsa
Unknown gunmen have attacked and abducted a local boat owner identified as Chief John Okotoro, at Amatu II Community in Ekeremor LGA of Bayelsa State.
Heavy but sporadic gunfire was also recorded with several casualties on the ground, according to local sources.
The motive behind this incident and the exact numbers of casualties was not immediately verifiable due to the tenuous security situation.
