Why it’s dangerous to cheat, comedian prompts men at Glo Laffta Fest

Nigerian comedian and actor, Iruvwe Okeremute, aka‘De Don’, has called on men to remain committed to the oath of their marriage and stop cheating on their spouses.
De Don, who is also an On-Air-Personality (OAP), said cost should be the number one reason for married men to stay away from adultery.
He carried out a hilarious analysis of the financial implication of adultery, submitting that for a man to successfully accomplish a single adulterous act, he has to spend loads of money that he could have otherwise saved for more important things.
He listed some expenses to be met before the adulterous act to include spending money to impress the lady, buying food and drinks for the lady, hiring a room in a hotel and then giving money to the lady in question after the act.
The comedian argued that the money might have been more useful to fix the man’s faulty car, pay a kid’s school fees, or any other equally important venture.
De Don, who also described Glo Laffta Fest show as the best thing to happen to comedy in Nigeria, got a standing ovation from the crowd for his rib–cracking jokes.
“This comedy brand helped many successful comedians today to build their brands. At the same time, it has ushered joy and fun into many homes in Nigeria,” said De Don.
Earlier, the quartet of Richard Mofe Damijo, (RMD), Bovi, Gordons and De Don, described as “the home boys” were accorded a very special “Warri warm reception”. Other comedians including Arinze Baba, Frank da Don and Dan D’Humorous also got standing ovations after their performances.
The show which was held at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Warri was anchored by the duo of Nollywood actresses, Mercy Johnson and Ebube Nwagbo, and was attended by Glo subscribers who filled the hall to the brim, while others who could not enter the hall sat outside in front of a mega LED screen mounted outside the venue.
The comedians including Bovi, Gordons, Dan D’Humorous, De Don, Frank D Don and Arinze Baba all gave the Warri crowd enough dose of jokes for the night.
Arinze Baba’s session was a combination of music and jokes and the crowd enjoyed his performance thoroughly. He rounded off his performance with a perfect rendition of late Chief Osita Osadebe’sOsondi Owendi, which the crowd sang along with him.
Yenegoa, the capital of Bayelsa State will host the next edition of Glo Laffta Fest on Sunday. The show will also be held in other cities of Awka, Ikeja, Ikorodu, FESTAC, Ajah, Asaba, Calabar, Aba, Suleja, Kubwa, Ibadan, Ijebu Ode, Abeokuta, Ekpoma, Kaduna, Akure, Lokoja, and Anyigba within the next five months.
