While addressing the officers and men of the civil defence corps, the commissioner further commended the gallant attitude and conduct exhibited by the men of the corps during the just concluded 2019 general elections.

Mallam Samaila described the synergy between the state government and the corps as very cordial and urged the award recipients to continue to be patriotic and good citizens of Nigeria in the discharge of their constitutional role of protecting national infrastructure.

Earlier, the Commandant corps in the state, Commander Phillips Ayuba in his address congratulated the recipients and stressed that the awards were given based on merit and gallantry of the officers and men of the corps.

Commander Ayuba said the command is organizing the event as the 1st edition to recognize officers for their meritorious service to the nation and charged the awardees to see the award as mark of appreciation for their hard work.
