The former governor of Anambra State and the South East Coordinator of the All progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Committee in the 2015 general election Sen Chris Ngige has said that the President elect Gen Mahammadu Buhari would handover to South East President after a transparent eight years of administration.

He stressed the need to have opposition party in place noting that it would enable the ruling party to be alive to its responsibility.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank all of you who have been with me in this journey, it is not easy to play an opposition politics which I have played for 10years now, but all this while I have always known that APC will form the next administration.

On the concluded National Assembly election that took place last month, the lawmaker regretted that the Igbos did not get reasonable number of winners in the APC describing it as calamity that has befall Ndigbo.

The State Chairman of the party Barr Emeka Ibeh while commending Sen Ngige for his doggedness, charged the party faithful to remain steadfast .

He said that the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not represent the wish of the people in the election conducted in the area, insisting that the APC in the State will challenge the process and reclaim their mandates at the Court of law.

According to him” I want to charge you all to go to the grass root and tell them that the APC is the authentic party now that would be identified with at all levels of governments. I want to assure you that with your little more efforts in the grassroots, APC will sweep the polls in the House of Assembly election that is coming on April11th, as for the magic PDP did in the last National Assembly election we are going to challenge them in the Court, and we are going to reclaim all the our mandates when the time comes. its not yet over”. He added.
