Buhari approves appointment of NIMASA, NPA governing boards
President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday approved the appointment of members of the governing board of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Sabiu Zakari and made available to journalists in Abuja.
The NIMASA governing board has Asita Asita as chairman, Bashir Iamoh as director-general and Victor Ochei as executive director (cabotage).

Others board members include Chudi Offodile as executive director (administration and finance), Shehu Ahmed as executive director (operations), Adekol Adefemi (member), Muhammed Abubakar (member) and Hassan Mahmud (member).
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) governing board is as follows; Chief Akin Ricketts as chairman, Muhammed Koko as executive director, Prof. Idris Abdulkadir as executive director, Onari Brown as executive director, Ghazali Muhammed as member, Sen. John Akpanudoedehe as member, Sen. Binta Masi Garba as member, Alhaji Mustapha Dutse as member and Abdulwahab Adeshina as member.
While noting that members of both boards would be inaugurated by the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi on March 20, the statement disclosed that Hadiza Usman remains the managing director of the NPA.
