Bright Okosodo To Provide Free Medical Services For Val Day

Bright Okosodo, said he has concluded plans to provide free medical services for residents of Oredo local government in Edo State.

Okosodo popularly known as ‘Richie’, a Ghana based entrepreneur who is the Founder and CEO of BAHAMAS COLLECTION, told our reporter that the aim of this gesture is to provide free medical services to those who need it most.

According to him, the target beneficiaries of this outreach are women and the youth, with particular emphasis on pregnant women and widows.

He added that the exercise would be carried out on the 12th, 13th & 14th of February 2021 at Ekehuan, Gelegele and Igbesamwan respectively in commemoration of Valentine’s Day.

“We are targeting at least 50 to100 persons for free medical treatment at each location” he said so we can help the women who cannot pay for their medical bill or ante natal (ANC) regular check ups by treating them free of charge.

“I decided to offer free medical services because everybody knows that there can be no progress without health, which is the foundation of wealth.

Several ailments including hypertension, diabetes, malaria, arthritis, pneumonia and ulcer will be diagnosed and treated.

There will also be free eye testing, free prescription glasses, free drugs and mass de-worming of children, among others,” he said.

Bright urged residents to take advantage of the outreach and come out en masse to access the free medical treatment.

He said he is also planning to give out sewing machines to some widows and motorcycles to youths, to help earn income and take care of themselves and their family.

“In 2020 I helped some widows to pay their children’s school fees, but now I want to make sure they can continue doing so themselves by providing them with a means of livelihood” he said.

He called on well meaning Nigerians, groups, individuals and corporate organisations, who have the same mindset of taking people off the streets, to partner with him in helping the poor because government alone cannot do it.
