BREAKING: Gunmen free abducted worker in hijacked school bus

The abducted female employee was released by gunmen who seized a school bus on Thursday morning in Oba Ile, Akure North local government of Ondo State.
According to reports, the gunmen missed their goal since no students were on board the bus at the time of the attack.
The shooters, who were riding motorbikes, had crossed the Chimola School bus at 6:45 a.m., when the driver was collecting up students.
They had drove the bus to a thicket in pursuit of Ilara Mokin before requesting that the abducted bus attendant begin running.
The staff member, who went by the name Omolayo Ojo, described how the abductors obstructed them and pulled out a rifle and a combat axe.
They dragged the driver out, but she stated they took her with them as they drove away.
When they arrived in the jungle, they asked Ojo to cooperate and inquired about her name and father’s name.
She claimed that they told her to start running because she didn’t know where she was.
“I saw one bring out a rifle and the other bring out a combat axe,” she said. When the driver was pulled out, they shoved my face against the window, and I had no idea where they were going.
“When they got to the bush, they brought me down, asked about my name and asked me to cooperate.
“They later told me to run without looking back. I met an old woman who showed me the way to a road.
“An Okada rider gave me N500 and showed me the way to town from where I took a transport to Akure.
Principal of the school, Mrs. Akinde Bolatito, said the driver narrated to her what happened at the police station where he was still being questioned.
“Omolayo has been working with us for over two years. She said they drove her into the bush. She was not tampered with. No hurt on her body.
“There was no pupil inside the bus. It was an empty bus. This has been their normal runs. We have never had any issue with our bus or our staff.
“Our children are in good hands. The police are on it.”
