BREAKING: Fuel tanker explodes along Lagos-Ibadan expressway

A petrol tanker has reportedly caught fire along the ever busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway just as the said tanker continues to put lives and properties around it at risk as at the time of filing this report.

According to a short video obtained from Ajide Sola Joseph, a bus passenger who recorded the incident with his camera phone as the commuter bus he boarded sped past the burning tanker, another tanker and other cars were parked beside the burning tanker, with no one going near to put out the fire for fear of further explosion.

As at the time of filing this report, the cause of the tanker fire is still unknown, just as it is unknown if the Fire Service has been called to the scene and if any lives were lost as a result of the fire.
