Breaking: Female Students abducted as kidnappers storm school in Kaduna

Students from the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Mando, Kaduna State, have been kidnapped by gunmen.
ASP Mohammed Jalige, a Police Public Relations Officer, informed Dailytimes that the exact number of students kidnapped is unknown.
“They were abducted last night, we have no details of the number of students,” ASP Jalige said.
He claimed that the Nigerian Army was assisting the police in tracking down the kidnappers and rescuing the students.
According to the BBC, half of the female students were kidnapped, but no male students were taken.
Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, confirmed the incident and announced that an investigation is underway.
This comes just 48 hours after Mr. Samuel Aruwan, the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, presented the state governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, with the 2020 security situation report.
In that report, the commissioner stated that in 2020, bandits killed 937 people, kidnapped 1,972 people, and rustled 7,195 cattle in the state.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai had claimed during the event that his administration had no room for negotiation or amnesty for bandits.
