Bauchi speaker facilitates with Bala over COVID-19 recovery
Speaker of the Bauchi state House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman, has congratulated Governor Bala Mohammad over his timely recovery from the coronavirus.

A press statement obtained by our correspondent from the spokesperson to the speaker, Malam Abdul Burra on Friday, indicated that the speaker also congratulated the entire people of Bauchi state on the recovery of the governor from the coronavirus disease.
“I received the news of the governor’s testing negative to the cOVID-19 and his subsequent discharge with excitement and praise to Almighty Allah,” the speaker said.
He attributed Gov. Bala’s timely recovery to fervent prayers embarked upon by the people of the state who trusted the governor with their mandate and are eager to see him recover for the continuity of the good things he has started since May 29, 2019.
“As Muslims who believed in destiny, good or bad, we believe that the governor’s infection with coronavirus is one of the ways that Almighty Allah tests the faith of his good servants.

“And our governor has shown high level of exemplary leadership, faithfulness and devotion to Almighty Allah by being sincere to tell the world that he was infected with the disease. This is uncommon and exemplary,”, the speaker added.
Abubakar, who commended the Bauchi state COVID-19 team and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for their efforts towards tackling the disease, assured the governor and the people of the state that the state assembly will remain committed to fighting the pandemic in the state.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to cure all people infected with the disease and protect the people of Bauchi state and the country at large against the deadly disease.
