Bauchi flags off anti-corruption campaign

The corruption fight championed by President Muhammadu Buhari led administration has been applauded by the Bauchi State government as it flagged off anti-corruption campaign to fight the menace in the state.
The campaign was flagged off, yesterday, by the chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Barrister Ekpo Nta, while speaking at an anti-corruption summit organised by the Bauchi State government in partnership with African Union (AU), Foundation for Transparency and Accountability (FTA) and ICPC at the Zaranda Hotel in Bauchi, with the theme, “Transparency, and Accountability, A Panacea to Good Governance and Sustainable Development.”
He said the current war against corruption by using technology through the use of electronic process will detect corrupt practices in states across the country.
He added that the deployment of technology will easily help state governors and revenue generation agencies in detecting fraud and other corrupt practices.
The summit with a slogan “I Support The Fight Against Corruption In Bauchi State” was unveiled at the Bauchi Anti-Corruption summit by the chairman of Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), Barrister Ekpo Nta and the Bauchi State governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.
The summit was organised by Foundation for Transparency and Accountability, ICPC and the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Barr. Ekpo Nta commended the Bauchi State government for the initiative adding that government must check and stop corrupt practices at all levels.
