Barca seal Suarez deal
Barcelona have signed former Manchester City prospect Denis Suarez on a four-year contract from Villarreal.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder arrives at the Nou Camp from Villarreal, who he joined last August after spending two years on the books of Barcelona ‘B’.
A statement from Barca on Monday revealed the Catalans had paid €3.25million (£2.73m) to buy Suarez back from Villarreal, with a buy-out clause for the player set at €50m.
Suarez, who scored four La Liga goals for the Yellow Submarine as they finished fourth in the league last season, will undergo a medical today.
The Galician joined City from Celta Vigo in May 2011 and made two cup appearances before moving to Barcelona ‘B’ in August 2013.
A Europa League winner with Sevilla, where he spent the 2014-15 campaign on loan, Suarez made his senior Spain debut as a substitute in a friendly match against Bosnia earlier this year.
