B-I-Z-A-R-R-E! Grand father rapes Seven-year-old girl in Delta

A 70-year-grandfather, (name withheld) resident of Okpanam community, near Asaba, Delta State, was Tuesday arrested by police detectives attached to the police command in the state for allegedly raping a seven-year-old groundnut hawker (name withheld).
Reports said the suspect was caught in an uncompleted building where the unsuspecting groundnut seller was hoodwinked into serving him N100 worth of groundnut and in the process he allegedly had carnal knowledge of the girl.
It was reliably gathered that while negotiation with the teenage girl lasted, the suspect allegedly pounced on her from behind rising up her skirt before he forced his manhood into her vagina.
Eye witness, John Akpan, said that the little girl’s loud scream when the suspect was inserting his manhood into the girl’s vagina attracted him to scene before he raised the alarm that attracted the police detectives.
Police Commissioner in the State, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim, who confirmed the incident said the suspect upon interrogation confessed to the crime, adding that his victim had been frequenting his house while selling her groundnuts.
The police boss said that the suspect was currently helping the police in further investigation and would be charged to court on completion of investigation.
