Australia v South Africa: Proteas security shunts Channel Nine reporter at Adelaide Airport

Proteas captain Faf du Plessis greeted the waiting media with a warm “Hi guys” before being sternly and immediately told to “keep walking” by team staff.

Nine Network reporter Will Crouch was pushed and shunted by two South African team staffers as he tried to question Du Plessis about whether he felt he would be allowed to play in Adelaide.

The reporter’s microphone was knocked out of his hand and he pushed back in an attempt to get to it, before he was shouldered away by Proteas security chief Zunaid Wadee.

In a statement from team manager Dr Mohammed Moosajee, who also stopped Crouch from getting close to Du Plessis, he said Crouch “proceeded to lunge towards Faf with an unknown object”.
