Anenih, Ikimi, Edo Speaker, late Sunny Okosun, others bag Esan award

Former Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, former Minister of External Affairs, Chief Tom Ikimi, Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Justin Okonoboh, a business mogul, Chief Patrick Agbator are among 50 most influential Esan men and women of Edo State that have been listed for this year’s prestigious Esan Hall of Fame Award scheduled for May 26.
According to a statement by the Publisher and Editor in Chief, National Chronicle magazine,organizers of the award, Timothy Okojie Ave, the honourees were picked by Esan indigenes in an opinion poll across the country.
Others to be invested with the award, which comes up at the Ambrose Alli Hall, in the University town of Ekpoma, include Hon. Sergious Ogun, Prince Lewis Osobase, Barr. Matthew Eigbadon, Lady Justina Agbarha, Hon. Herbert Okonofua, Barr. Omon Irabor, Hon. Ezehi Igbas, Emmanuel Eromonsele Eseigbe, HRH. Friday Amenbhagbe Ibhadojemu, Engr. Macaulay Akoko, Hon. F.O. Imoisili, Prof. A. Ibhadode, Amb. Martins Uhumoibhi, Hon.Fidelis Ogbeliele, Hon. Felix Akhabue, Solomon Ibharunaefe, Engr. Lemon Ikpea among others.
Those for the posthumous award are late Adolor of Uromi, Chief Anthony Enahoro, reputed to be the mover of Nigeria’s independent motion, former Chief of Naval Staff and Military Vice President, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, late wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Stella Obasanjo and music maestro, Sunny okosun.
Okojie Ave further disclosed that Esan Economic potentials will form the kernel of discussion at the annual event that is expected to be graced by the who is who in Esanland and beyond.
The keynote speaker at the event is the Distributive Development Expert, a pro-life ana environmental activist and founder of The Future Imagination Xentre (FIX), ARC.Austin Illenre Emuan.
Guests expected at the event include prominent Esan sons and daughters, political office holders and politicians, traditional rulers and lovers of Esanland.
