Anambra non-indigenes to empower 7,000 youths, congratulates Obiano

The Anambra Association of Non-Indigene has announced that it has commenced the establishment of a skill acquisition control in Awka, noting that it is part of its contribution towards youth empowerment and economic development in the area which over 7,000 youths will benefit.

The Association on Monday also congratulated Governor Willie Obiano on his landslide victory at the just concluded governorship election in the state.
According to a release signed by the National President comrade Ferguson Okpara and the Traditional Ruler of the association Igwe Emmus O. Nkwuda the body congratulate the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security operative for the hit free and peaceful conduct of the exercise.

The body noted that the track record of Obiano’s achievements in his first term in office was the only impetus that led his victory adding that the turn out of the election was divine and also douse the apprehension over the fall out the exercise had it been a new governor-elect emerged.

“What happened on that Election Day was divine. The manner and brand of politicking that pervaded before November 18th, 2017 was one that created so much tension in Anambra State and Anambraians were expecting a breakdown of law and order only for God to intervene and become peaceful and a winner emerged”.
The body further urged Obiano to continue to run an all-inclusive government irrespective of political social cultural or religious divide adding that Obiano victory is a victory for all and sundry.

Speaking on the proposed skill acquisition center, the association noted that “Our skill acquisition centre project is ongoing and we wish to remind His Excellency of his administrations promise to assist in the youths of Anambra State in the area of employment and skill acquisition. Noting that the body will work hand-in-hand with the Anambra State government in that area, as according to them, the skill acquisition centre is target to empower over 7,000 youth both indigene and non-indigenous in Anambra State”.

“The skill acquisition centre would also create jobs and fight crime among the youths and upcoming generation in Anambra State”.
The association however urged all the candidates that took part in the November election to display spirit of sportsmanship and embarrass peace for the progress and economic development of the state.

We as an association wish urge all the candidates that took part in the election to embrace peace and show sportsmanship because in every contest, a winner must emerge and there are no looser in this election, the winner is Anambra State which must come first before personal ambition.
