Akwa Utd fumigate club camp office ahead of new Season

Management of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubside, Akwa United has revealed it has fumigated the club’s camp office and headquarters ahead of the new football season.

Report reaching Daily Times says, the club said this was done in strict compliance with Covid-19 guidelines as directed by the National Centre for Disease Control NCDC.

This is done as the clubs await an official communication of the date of the commencement of the new season to clubs.

A total of twenty-one rooms, four offices, a board room, three buses, two utility vehicles and a security post were fumigated in a two-storey building camp/office complex.

According to an official statement by the club, the fumigation was conducted by Kingzo Industrial Cleaning Works on Tuesday 18th August 2020.

The company in a certificate issued to Akwa United FC after the job assured that the camp is devoid of any form of infections at least for an initial period of six months.

Players and management of Akwa Utd have been on break since March, after Coronavirus was reported in the country.
