Airbus delivers 25 airplanes January 2017

Airbus began 2017 with orders logged during January for three of its new A350 XWB wide-body jetliners and one booking for the best-selling single-aisle A320, while delivering 25 aircraft during the month from its A320 Family, A330 and A350 XWB product lines.
The three A350-900s were for Air France, a major customer for this version of the A350 XWB.
Mexico’s VivaAerobus placed the order for an A320ceo (Current Engine Option) aircraft, which will join the low-cost carrier’s growing fleet of A320ceo and A320neo (New Engine Option) airliners.
Taking a conversion into account, Airbus’ net orders for 2017 totalled two aircraft as of 31 January.
The month’s deliveries were composed of 21 A320 Family aircraft (including two A320neo versions), three A330s and one A350 XWB. These airliners were received by 21 customers.
With the year-opening 2017 order and delivery activity, Airbus’ overall backlog stood at 6,851 airliners at the end of January, representing approximately 10 years of production.
