Aggrieved Cult Group Allegedly Kills Family Members As Police Declares Fleeing Member Wanted

Pandemonium erupted in Ubiaja community in Esan South-East local government area of Edo State when suspected Eiye confraternity members in their numbers attacked and allegedly killed family members of one Endurance Onodiana Erhumose in coldblood.

The cold-blooded attack was reported to have taken place on May 2, 2022, in the peaceful Ubiaja community.

The dastardly attack on the family it was said was not unconnected with the unwillingness of Endurance Onodiana Erhumose, an Agriculture engineering undergraduate student of Federal Polytechnic, Auchi and an unwilling member of Eiye confraternity to execute members of rival gangs as directed by the leader of the extremely dangerous cult group.

According to information made available, the dastardly attack on the family of the fleeing cultist was a direct response to an earlier threats by the group to wipe out every family member of Endurance Onodiana Erhumose who confirmed sources on campus said had a running battle with members of his cult group over the spate of killings, robberies and other criminal activities by the group which he was vehemently aversed to.

Though, while it was gathered that the fleeing cultist incurred the wrath of the leader of the group identified as “Stone” following strong disagreements over issues bothering on his unwillingness to participate in cult activities and attend regular cult meetings on campus, he was publicly attacked by members of his cult group on campus on several occasions.

His several open and violent confrontations with members of his cult group however culminated in the dastardly attack on the lives of his family members in his hometown in Ubiaja as desperate efforts to track him down on campus proved unsuccessful, it was understood.

Meanwhile, the dastardly attack on the family of Endurance Onodiana Erhumose which claimed the lives of his parents and siblings is being investigated by the police.

A statement made available by the Edo State Command of the Nigerian Police said it received disturbing report on the alleged killing of a family in Ubiaja community in Esan South-East local government area of Edo State.

The statement further added that while it had opened investigation into the case, frantic efforts were being made by the police to ensure the culprits who are members of Eiye confraternity in the dastardly attack are apprehended and prosecuted for murder in accordance with the provisions of the law .

It also said that a fleeing member of the extremely dangerous Eiye confraternity identified as Endurance Onodiana Erhumose and also a son of the murdered family in Ubiaja community was also wanted by the police in connection with the alleged murder.
