Agada confirmed as substantive Senate Clerk

The appointment of Mr. Agada Rawlings Emmanuel as substantive Clerk of the Senate has been confirmed by the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).

His confirmation, conveyed in a letter dated Friday, June 27, 2025, takes effect from June 26, 2025. The letter was signed by the Executive Chairman of NASC, Chief Dr. Saviour Enyiekere.

Mr. Emmanuel had been serving in an acting capacity prior to this appointment.

In a related development, the NASC also announced several redeployments within the National Assembly:

Mr. Emmanuel Odo, formerly Deputy Clerk, Senate (Administration), has been redeployed to the House of Representatives as Deputy Clerk, Legislative.

Mrs. Vivian Njemanze, who was Deputy Clerk, Administration in the House of Representatives, has been moved to the Senate as Deputy Clerk, Legislative.

Mr. Andrew Nwoba, the former Clerk of the Senate, has been redeployed to the Office of the Clerk to the National Assembly.

These changes are part of an ongoing administrative reshuffle within the National Assembly bureaucracy.
