Adamawa health workers’ union in crisis

The lingering leadership tussle bedeviling the Adamawa State medical and health workers union has taken a new dimension, as a splinter group, led by one of chairmanship contestant in the botched state executive council election, Mr. Dahiru Hassan, has declared that the union had no state executives yet.

He made the declaration at a press conference, in Yola, on Wednesday, by insisting that the claim by a faction led by one Jerry Ngyakwar faction that they remained the elected leaders of the association was nothing more than a wishful thinking, noting that at his instance an Upper Area Court 3, in Yola, had issued an injunction order which automatically stopped and declared any action taken as null, void and of no effect whatsoever.

He added that their parading themselves as leaders was illegal and unconstitutional urging the members and public to ignore any action from Ngyakwar faction, pending the determination of the case by the court.
