What over N28b could have achieved in Nigeria

The Escarvos gas pipeline was vandalised on May 4th, 2015 and till date, Chevron is yet to announce that it has resumed work.
It is now two months since the plant stopped working. And since the plant loses N470 million daily- N470 million multiplied by 60 days amounts to over N28 billion loss for Nigeria in two months.
Under the Discos’ Credit Advance Pay for Metering Implementation, CAPMI, the official price for a single phase and three phase prepaid metres, cost N25, 000 and N50, 000 respectively.
Assuming Nigeria was able to generate N28 billion in two months into its account, the money would have provided over 1 million households in the single phase category with prepaid metre, and over 500,000 households with the three phase metre if the money is invested wisely.
