Pillars bounce back to stop Ikorodu Utd

Kano Pillars put behind a painful home loss to Enyimba to beat Ikorodu United Sunday and continue to put pressure on leaders Enugu Rangers at the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Pillars are second on the table with 27 points from 15 matches, a point behind leaders Rangers.
Abia Warriors also have 27 points, but they are third by virtue of goals difference.
Ikorodu United remain rock bottom of the table on nine points.
Emmanuel Edmund opened scoring for Pillars after 15 minutes, when he coolly finished off courtesy of good play by Rabiu Shehu.
But visiting Ikorodu United restored parity on 27 minutes, when Yemi Olasupo headed home.
However, skipper Rabiu Ali, who had promised to score two goals in this match, delivered the winning goal in the 77th minute with an unstoppable pile driver.
