Jenroluwa Sotunsa, Also Known as Jayshow, Brings Sonic Brilliance to New YouTube Series “Good Bad and Wahala”
The newly launched YouTube comedy series “Good Bad and Wahala” is making waves with its sharp wit and Lagos-flavoured storytelling—but just as notably, with its distinctive and emotionally intelligent soundtrack composed by Jenroluwa Sotunsa, professionally known as Jayshow.
A fast-rising music producer and composer with roots in Nigeria and a growing footprint in the UK creative sector, Jayshow collaborated with a team of talented co-composers—including Abiodun Odu, Raphael Anthony, Fortune Onwachie Chukwuyem, Kevwe Okpidama, and Wisdom Odeje (APV)—to craft the original score for the series with a layered, cinematic touch.

Known for his ability to fuse Afrobeat rhythms with ambient and electronic elements, Jenroluwa’s work gives the series a pulse that underscores both its humour and emotional depth.
“This show has a fast-paced, comedic tempo, but underneath, it deals with very real Lagos experiences,” says Jenroluwa. “My job was to create a sound that feels modern and local fun, but still textured.”
“Good Bad and Wahala” follows three young men sharing a flat in Lagos as they navigate chaos, ambition, and the occasional heartbreak. Jenroluwa’s music elevates the storytelling, providing smooth transitions, dramatic tension, and comedic punctuation across episodes.
This marks the second major YouTube production scored by Jenroluwa.

His previous work on “SPA with Osas”, a lifestyle series hosted by actress Osas Ighodaro, earned him attention for his emotionally subtle and polished production style. That soundtrack gained traction across multiple platforms and continues to expand his international audience.
With a growing portfolio that blends Afrocentric narratives with modern sonic textures, Jenroluwa Sotunsa—aka Jayshow—is carving a distinctive voice in the world of music for digital media. Whether through immersive scores or stand-alone compositions, he continues to demonstrate the power of sound to enhance story, space, and culture.
