Top Dignitaries to Grace CCC Makoko at 70

The Celestial Church of Christ, Arch Diocese and national headquarters, Makoko will be celebrating its 70th Anniversary celebration in August.
This announcement was released recently in a communique by the harvest chairman, Brother Gbenga Daniel Adebayo at the church in Lagos.
Speaking to our correspondent, Brother Daniel-Adebayo noted that, ‘being the first church established by the late Pastor and founder, Reverend SBJ OSHOFFA, the 70th Anniversary of the Makoko parish is a significant milestone in the evolution of the church’s evolution’.
The parish, situated at the heart of the historic Makoko on the popular Celestial Church Street, was founded by itinerant fishermen who accompanied the founder on his missionary journey. Founded in 1951, Celestial Church of Christ, Makoko, fondly called the ‘Mother Church’ is the birthplace of thousands of parishes across the globe.
In addition, the shepherd of the church, Assistant Most Superior Evangelist Olusegun Olarinde pointed out that this special anniversary is themed ‘Return of the Lord’ and is anchored on the book of Jeremiah 29 vs 10. In his address, he noted that the Anniversary events commenced on the 27th of June, 2021 through the 2nd of August 2021.
The month long activities will feature the commissioning of a legacy project for the benefit of the Makoko community, free medical outreach, provision of relief materials to members of the public, gala and award dinner, open air revival, music concert, youth development and empowerment programs and so much more.
Activities will come to a head with an anniversary thanksgiving service on Sunday 1st of August 2021 and a love feast on Monday 2nd August 2021 at the church auditorium in Makoko, Yaba Lagos.
